Software
What is CNC Probing?
CNC Probing is software that lets you measure the workpiece on your CNC machine. You do not need to take the part off the machine; the clamping reference is kept.
Which control units does it work with?
The software's machine library includes FANUC, Siemens, Syntec and Mitsubishi control units. If your machine is not on the list, write to us and we will look at it together.
Which probes does it work with?
CNC Probing supports the probe brands commonly used in the industry. You can select a registered probe from the software's probe library or define your own.
Does it change my existing programs or machine settings?
No. The control is not touched; existing programs and settings stay as they are. Installation is done with a single macro, and no separate post processor is needed.
Do I need to write macros?
No. The software analyses the macros already on the machine and generates a macro specific to that machine that does not clash with the existing ones.
What is the measurement accuracy?
The software's measurement accuracy is in the range 0.001–0.005 mm. During machine calibration, the mechanical play in the machine and its response times are measured; the software calculates them with high-precision algorithms.
On how many axes can it be used?
On 3-, 4- and 5-axis machines. On 5-axis machines, surfaces at different angles can be measured in a single set-up.
How does it differ from a coordinate measuring machine (CMM)?
CNC Probing brings measurement to the machine. Because the part is not removed, the clamping reference is not lost; if an error is found, the part can be corrected without re-clamping. CNC Probing does not replace the measuring room; the two are used together.
Can I report measurement results?
Yes. Results can be reported in Q-DAS / AQDEF format. They can also be saved as a PDF report and are shown in 2D and 3D on the CNC Probing screen.
Which languages is the software available in?
The CNC Probing software is available in Turkish, English, Russian and Chinese. The mobile app is available in eight languages.
Can operators with little technical knowledge use it?
Yes. The interface works step by step. The operator guide in the mobile app shows the measurement steps at the machine, and alarms come with explanations.
Use
Can I measure with coolant running?
We recommend measuring with the coolant switched off.
Which materials can it be used on?
Metal and plastic parts produced by machining.
Can it be used on small parts?
The smallest hole and feature that can be measured depend on the size of the stylus used. Write to us to choose the right stylus for your part.
How are tool wear and broken tools monitored?
The AutoFinish module raises an alarm when the tool wear limit is exceeded. With the laser tool setter, a broken tool can be detected within the cycle.

Do you also supply hardware?
Yes. Measuring probes, laser and contact tool setters, styli and tool holders are part of our product family.
